Darren C. Skinner, Ph.D., LSW, serves as a Clinical Support Specialist at Ikon Recovery Center. With over 35 years of experience in behavioral health, Dr. Skinner specializes in substance use treatment, mental health, and co-occurring disorders, bringing a depth of clinical knowledge and compassion to his work.

Dr. Skinner has extensive experience working with military personnel, First Responders, and individuals experiencing homelessness, offering trauma-informed care rooted in both professional expertise and lived understanding. As a United States Army veteran, he brings a unique perspective to supporting those who have served.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Skinner is the author of From Insanity to Serenity: A Journey from Despair to Resilience, a collection of inspirational poetry reflecting his personal and professional journey in recovery and healing.
